Workshops

Since 2021, the Postgraduate Forum of the Gustav Mahler Research Centre has held a series of workshops with leading international figures in Mahler research. The list of workshops that have been held in the past is available below:

  • March 10th, 2023. Online Workshop with Lóránt Péteri (Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Budapest) on “Mahler, the Scherzo and the Uncanny”

  • February 4th 2023. Online Workshop with Thomas Peattie (University of Mississippi) on “Place and Landscape in the Music of Gustav Mahler”

  • September 21st–22nd 2022. Workshop in Toblach, Italy, with Tobias Janz (Universität Bonn) and Christian Utz (Kunstuniversität Graz) on “Orchestration Analysis” with a focus on Mahler’s 6th Symphony and “Performance Analysis” with a focus on Mahler’s 7th Symphony

  • April 1st, 2021. Online Workshop with Anna Stoll-Knecht (Accademia Teatro Dimitri, Verscio) on “Mahler Conducting”

  • March 8th, 2021. Online Workshop with Anna Stoll Knecht and Thomas Peattie on Professional Development for PGRs and ECRs
