Since 2021, the Postgraduate Forum of the Gustav Mahler Research Centre has held a series of workshops with leading international figures in Mahler research. The list of workshops that have been held in the past is available below:
March 10th, 2023. Online Workshop with Lóránt Péteri (Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Budapest) on “Mahler, the Scherzo and the Uncanny”
February 4th 2023. Online Workshop with Thomas Peattie (University of Mississippi) on “Place and Landscape in the Music of Gustav Mahler”
September 21st–22nd 2022. Workshop in Toblach, Italy, with Tobias Janz (Universität Bonn) and Christian Utz (Kunstuniversität Graz) on “Orchestration Analysis” with a focus on Mahler’s 6th Symphony and “Performance Analysis” with a focus on Mahler’s 7th Symphony
April 1st, 2021. Online Workshop with Anna Stoll-Knecht (Accademia Teatro Dimitri, Verscio) on “Mahler Conducting”
